Test shots/Animatic

This video was to give us a rough idea of how we wanted our video to flow, personally because it has just one element I couldn't fully feel from these shots the overall theme to our video but it allowed us to use it as a test shoot Bethany, our main lip-sync-er, seeing how she looked in front of the camera and how we could experiment with her such as the way she moves and how well she can lip-sync.


 

Discussing Lighting...

Yesterday, one of my group members, Liv, went and saw the lighting guy about our music video.

He really liked the idea of using already filmed footage and projecting it onto a screen in the actual forest so that there projections of the narrative and performance are all being projected on.

This is the picture that really started off the idea:

The notes we were given on lighting:

• Blue screen
• Gobos
• Needs more depth
• Collect leaves
• Shot of Gustavo walking along - girls run across
• Shoot everything in studio - project it onto trees/ gobos
• People chasing in woods
• Black studio
• Project montage of him running through woods
• Lord of the flies (?)
• Shoot people on floor in studio
• Film most things in Black Studio
• Colour?
• Final gag - people running out of forest

The idea now is to have a mix of projections in forest and actual footage which we have filmed, so we have a contrast of two elements which look different and look interesting.
