Although this idea was originally created for the media form of advertising, we then adapted this to our idea, as we thought it would work very well for our idea and theme. We mixed this idea with the conventions of darkness and dancing to create a new, original idea.
The dark lighting helped resemble the idea of 'clubbing' and 'raves' which are very familiar conventions within the Dubstep genre.
The tribal theme within the video helped resemble the rhythm and beat in the music helped resemble the 'tribe' theme within the music. It also helped create the idea of 'savages' which is a convention within the tribal idea.
The use of smoke and effects helped to create the idea of 'unknowing' and 'mystery', which were two very important themes within our video.
The make up we used was also bold and colourful, again helping to reflect the tribal theme. We could compare this to artists such as Lady Gaga, who do this to make a statement within the video and to create a certain look for the artist themselves.
We also used a very similar layout to David Guetta's. We kept it simple and clean so that it was bold and easy to use.
